Report abuse in education

Recognising Peer-on-Peer Abuse

We recognise the risk of abuse between young people, particularly in a college setting, whether face-to-face or online. Staff remain vigilant to the signs of peer-on-peer abuse, including incidents involving young people who are not currently attending our provision, and report all concerns—no matter how small—to the central Safeguarding Team.

Report Abuse in Education Helpline

For those affected by sexual abuse or harassment in school or college, an independent helpline run by the NSPCC is available. This service is free, anonymous, and open to children, young people, adults, and professionals seeking guidance.

  1. Phone: 0800 136 663

Support and Advice

We are here to listen and support you if:

  1. You are worried about something you have seen or heard.
  2. You are concerned for yourself or another student.
  3. You need advice on a safeguarding issue.

Zero Tolerance for Abuse

Abuse of any kind is not tolerated. College staff and the central Safeguarding Team provide support for students who wish to disclose current or past abuse or neglect, including incidents occurring in educational settings.

‘Let’s Stop Abuse Together’ Campaign

The government has launched the ‘Let’s Stop Abuse Together’ campaign to combat child sexual abuse and support victims. This initiative empowers parents, carers, and professionals to safeguard children and also offers help for adults who experienced sexual abuse in childhood.
